Rental Rights was started in December 2008 by a small group of frustrated tenants. We want to provide a tenant focused organisation that has the freedom to campaign around the single issue of private tenant’s rights (unlike, say, shelter).  It was very surprising that there was no voice for tenants in the media, yet similar organisations exist abroad for tenants and in this country for landlords.

We are not putting our personal details on here for the minute, since we do not want to prejudice any potential landlords from letting to us.  Once we are set up and can be seen to be a reasonable organisation, this will have to change. But rest assured, we are not a company and this is not an advertising stunt or viral marketing campaign.
